Neil Phillips-Gore was employed on a 12-month fixed term contract to
project manage a major site re-development project at Allied Bakeries
West Bromwich site.
This project saw the site entrance moved, new 80 tonne flour silos and
distribution system installed, along with a new 20,000 per hour roll plant.
All of this work was conducted whilst maintaining the existing site
operation, managing close to 100 on site contractors carrying out civil
works, electrical distribution works, and mechanical installation of new
equipment on site.
To facilitate the installation of the new roll plant, a 200m by 50m section
of the factory was hygienically sheeted using Flexi-Wall. This allowed
operations to continue whilst floors, roofs and services were moved
seamlessly.
