UK MFG needs your support - join ConeX at Advanced Engineering 2023 and be part of the solution.
The UK manufacturing community, ConeX Portal, has given more than 10 members the chance to attend Advanced Engineering 2023 as a collaborative stand and be an integral part of a project to raise the profile of manufacturing SMEs across the UK.
And to consolidate its position as the go-to membership community for the UK’s manufacturing and engineering SMEs, ConeX portal is using the opportunity of meeting thousands of industry stakeholders to create a definitive picture of what UK industry feels about the sector.
As the UK is named as overtaking France to become the eighth largest manufacturing nation in the world, 2023 is clearly a pivotal year for UK industry, but support for this important sector is not often visible.
“I’ve been involved with UK manufacturing for more than a decade and have worked with some of the UK’s most brilliant engineering businesses. The UK is home to innovation, ambition and determination and has a reputation that is revered around the world. But we do not shine a light on this important sector and the critical part we play in UK economic health today and in the future - and we rarely get asked about the work we do by anyone outside of our sector.
Advanced Engineering is the best opportunity to make connections across the UK’s manufacturing community and we’re excited to use this opportunity to ask our members and the wider community to share their thoughts and data to help us shine a spotlight on the words that people need to associate with UK MFG,” says Sam Baynham - ConeX Portal.
Manufacturing is an essential and significant contributor to the UK economy and as we navigate the challenges of energy tariff increases and a post-Brexit landscape, what is the current landscape in the regions, and what do future prospects look like?
Thriving community
Building on the community spirit ConeX Portal encourages and thrives on, we are inviting everyone who is part of, or connected to, the UK’s manufacturing community, to share their perspectives on UK manufacturing and help us create our data picture of UK MFG. Bring your questions and comments to Sam and the ConeX members: Contribute to our word cloud, engage with our community, or record your thoughts in the video archive and watch as Stand P116 comes alive with the insights of UK MFG’s community feedback in real-time, during the show.
“Pure Ideas is really looking forward to co-exhibiting with ConeX at Advanced Engineering 2023. We believe it is critical to support the UK engineering and manufacturing sector and specialise in advising on intellectual property matters,” says Katia Douglas of Pure-Ideas.
“This time next month we will be exhibiting at Advanced Engineering UK with ConeX Portal. We’re really looking forward to showcasing what we have to offer at DP Engineering and as always, we will be flying the flag for UK manufacturing,” says Philip Anthony of Cornwall-based precision engineering specialists, DP Engineering.
Advanced Engineering is the UK’s largest manufacturing event and the ConeX community is very well represented at this prestigious event. ConeX counts some of the UK’s most innovative organisations among its membership, many of whom are in attendance themselves. And the ethos of collaboration is evident in the opportunity to offer co-exhibiting to its members for the second consecutive year.
More than 24 ConeX member companies are in attendance, exhibiting at Advanced Engineering, representing tooling, machining, additive manufacturing, composites and plasma surface technology. And following last year’s successful mini golf tournament, 2023 has seen us create a jigsaw challenge where delegates can collect a unique piece from every ConeX stand and be entered into a prize draw. As the jigsaw is pieced together, the shared values of ConeX take shape and community connections are strengthened with every piece that is placed along the way.
Visit Stand P116 for the chance to connect with ConeX members and witness the collective strength that drives innovation and excellence within our industry.
Join us as we piece together a brighter future for manufacturing.
